Who builds TILL

TILL is built by Nomadik GmbH, a small Swiss company in Männedorf. Nomadik keeps its own books in TILL.

Why TILL exists

As of 28 October 2026

Nomadik GmbH kept its books in bexio. It wanted three things together: books in a file it owns, an AI agent that can work in them through an open interface, and code that anyone can read and check.

So it built TILL, moved its own books from bexio into it, and has kept them there since. A defect in the beta therefore reaches the books of the company that builds TILL first.

How TILL is paid for

TILL is open core. The core is MIT licensed and free, with every feature in the beta and no limit on users, companies or bookings.

Today Nomadik GmbH charges only for help: setting TILL up and moving books from bexio. A Swiss-hosted version for teams that do not want to run TILL themselves is planned for later. It does not exist yet, and it has no price.

Who decides

Nomadik GmbH stewards TILL and holds the copyright on the original work. Contributions stay under their author’s copyright and come into the project under MIT. During the beta the maintainers make the final call on direction and on what ships.

Changes to the money path (posting, reversing entries, a statutory figure) always get a second reviewer who did not write them. As the project matures, the plan is to add maintainers from outside Nomadik, and GOVERNANCE.md records how that happens.
